    Reflections
I thought this was a great project for you. Your personal commitment to the ideals of animal rights is a noble a just cause. I encourage you to stay the course and even volunteer your time to organizations such as the Human Society in Edmonton. Your reflection comments demonstrate your level of understanding about this very complex topic. Like most causes, this one has no simple answers and draws critism from many fronts as was displayed during your class presentation.

Why is this an important issue for you?
About 7 months ago I became a vegetarian. I cared enough about animals to stop eating them. Being vegetarian has become a major part of who I am, so choosing a cause to do with animals felt right.
What impacted you the most? In what way?
I would say that the truth about farming really impacted me. I had the idealic farm scene in my head. You know, open pastures, happy farm animals. Chickens in their coop clucking happily away as they made eggs. I mean obviously that was really naive, but the truth was shocking. I felt so happy I had made the choice to stop eating meat. The companies that test on animals also shocked me. A lot of popular companies that I used test on animals.
What can you do to help address this issue? What do you think Canada should do?
Okay, well that's the thing. Its one big issue with multiple causes. Which makes it hard to address everything all in one way. I'll do what I did for this project. I'll educate everyone about what happens to animals. What I think Canada should do? I think Canada should abolish the seal hunt, I mean really the U.S has abolished the fur industry.
What is one question about this issue that you would like to have answered?
Only one? Well thats hard to say, I want to know the figures for animals suffering. I also want to know if there's a way around factory farming.

What did you learn about this issue?
Well I learned a lot. Mostly I have come to know that factory farm have become the main suppliers of meat. Then of course I learned what goes on there. Mostly everything I cover is new to me, its sort of scary how much I didn't know about before.

against a 'traditional' national seal hunt. Canada's seal hunt is highly looked down upon and the fur industry is decling in its demand.
Internationally: This can be a plea to abolish the fur industry.
